COVID-19 FAQS

With plenty of fresh air and Bahamian sunshine, a Pieces of 8 tour or private charter is a fantastic experience you can safely enjoy as we work together to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The safety of our guests and staff are most important to us and we have adopted the following measures with your comfort and health in mind:​​

  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols using EPA-approved sanitation products
  • Hand sanitizing ​stations at all embarkation points during the tour
  • Snorkeling equipment cleaned and disinfected using EPA-approved sanitation products
  • Reduced tour capacity
  • Daily staff temperature checks
  • All team members have completed Compliance Training offered by the Government of The Bahamas
As per Government of The Bahamas guidelines, team members and guests are required to wear masks that cover the nose & mouth when physical distancing is not possible.

As we welcome you back to enjoy our exciting tour & excursions available exclusively to Atlantis guests, the management of Pieces Of 8 are committed to providing you with a safe travel environment that aligns with the CDC and World Health Organization expert protocols that are in place prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We are diligent and intentional in our efforts to execute the cleanliness of our boats and equipment. We will monitor and adjust our guidelines to ensure a continued focus on the health and safety of our guests and crews.

To promote the health and safety of our tours & excursions, face coverings are recommended for guests and crew.

Our boats are professionally cleaned before every trip, then continuously during your tour and again immediately after each tour is concluded. Our crew use rigorous cleaning protocols that beats the recommended health standards. Our team apply premium-grade disinfectants to assure our passengers and crew safety.

Prior to boarding, you will be required to answer a few simple health-screening questions.

As a reminder, no person will be allowed to board a vessel when they are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

Should symptoms such as a fever, cough or difficulty breathing develop while onboard, we ask that you please notify the captain immediately.

TOUR & EXCURSION FAQS

This is a fun, high velocity tour and weather conditions may vary.

This tour is not suitable for:

  • pregnant women
  • children under 5
  • persons with back, neck or heart problems
  • persons with serious medical conditions
  • persons with limited mobility

The maximum weight limit per person is 275 lbs. 

This activity has a minimum number of guests required for it to run. In the unlikely event that it does not meet the minimum, you will be notified that it is cancelled and you will be issued a 100% refund.

In the event of bad weather or mechanical issues, you will be issued a 100% refund.

If you cancel:

  • 72 hr+ in advance – 100% refund
  • 49 to 71 hrs in advance – 50% refund
  • 48 hrs or less – no refund
